Purpose: The Program was designed to raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana and increase awareness of the potential of Indiana's community foundations to improve the quality of life of the state's residents.

Lilly Endowment's Motivation: Indiana ranks near the bottom of the 50 states in the percentage of its residents 25 years old who hold a baccalaureate degree. Lilly Endowment is confident that the leaders of Indiana communities can rally their fellow residents around efforts to increase the level of educational attainment in our state.

Scholarships: The scholarships will provide full tuition, required fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Eligibility: The program is open to all Indiana residents who have graduated by the end of June 2013, with a diploma from an accredited Indiana high school and who have been accepted to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study beginning in the fall of 2013 at an accredited public or private college or university in Indiana.
